Luckily, My Shield Will Protect Me: Their first upgrade gives all Hylian units (except for Ironclad Elites) shields.Jack-of-All-Stats: Their army is described as versatile but not specialized in any camp.Humans Are Average: They're not humans, but they are the central race and very anthropomorphic nevertheless.Forever War: During the five millennia of history of the Kingdom of Hyrule, they have known peace for barely more than one and a half century.Fantastic Racism: They're disdainful towards all races that do not worship the Goddesses their animosity with the Gerudo and Blins is particularly notable.Dramatic Irony: They're proud of their undying devotion to the goddesses, because nobody remembers that little incident with Hylia anymore.Bling of War: All Hylian units, from the lowly Town Guards to the elite Ironclads, become equipped with gold-plated armour upon their second upgrade, which doesn't help their combat abilities but drastically boost their morale.Also, their Ironclad Elites are halberdiers. Blade on a Stick: Town and Castle Guards.Annoying Arrows: Triforce Vanguards can shrug off all ranged attacks that do not come from a mage or siege engine.
Ancestral Weapon: The Royal Estoc, first given by Rauru to Princess Zelda I and then to every reigning Princess of Hyrule.
